As a customer with X1 or other Xfinity TV package with cloud-based DVR service, you can watch, download, modify and manage your DVR recordings on your Android mobile devices using the Xfinity Stream app.
Watch a DVR recording
- To watch recorded programs saved to your DVR, go to the main menu at the bottom of your screen.
- From the menu, select My library.
- Under My library, there are several color-blocked tiles related to DVR.
- Recordings shows all recordings saved on the cloud. Tap any of them to watch or download them or adjust recording options.
- Scheduled shows the next two weeks' worth of scheduled recordings. Tap any of them to adjust recording options.
- Downloads shows all recordings downloaded to that particular device for offline viewing.
- Note: Each download can only exist on one device at a time. Additionally, each downloaded program must be returned from the Xfinity Stream app so that it can be viewed at home through your X1 TV Box.
- Select an episode, then tap Watch. If the recording has been watched previously, you'll have the option to Resume or Start Over.
- Recordings shows all recordings saved on the cloud. Tap any of them to watch or download them or adjust recording options.
Download a recorded program
- To download a recording directly to your mobile device, find the recording you want and tap Download. Downloading the program will save a local copy for future use.
- Once the download is complete, your program will show as downloaded under the Downloads color tile. You can view completed recordings either in a list or as a gallery using the toggles in the upper-right corner. You can also filter by Most Recent or Alphabetical.
- Tap Watch to play back the recording.
- To remove the program from your device, tap Return. Canceling or deleting a download starts the check-in process to let others in your household stream or download the content.
- You'll see the Return Downloaded Recording message: "Are you sure? This recording will be removed from this device and returned to your DVR to watch on TV and other devices."
- Tap Continue to confirm.
Modify your DVR recordings
- To browse completed or scheduled recordings for each day, select My library from the menu at the bottom of your screen, and then select either Recordings or Scheduled.
- Tap a program or recording. Then, tap Record Options.
Recordings can also be modified or canceled from the on-screen guide listings. - To modify a single episode recording, tap Modify Recording.
- To modify a series recording, tap Modify Recording and select Series Recording.
Cancel a scheduled recording
- Select from the menu at the top of your screen, then select Scheduled.
- To cancel a recording or recording series, tap the title of the recording, select Record Options, and then select Cancel Recording.
- Note: If you choose a program that is part of a series recording, you will have the option to modify or cancel just the single recording or the entire series. Choose Just This Episode to modify or cancel the single episode recording or Series Recording to modify or cancel the entire series recording.
- Follow the remaining prompts to complete the process.
