Check out the MasterClass app for Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex! MasterClass is an immersive online experience, which gives everyone the opportunity to learn from the world's best practitioners. Every class was created by the instructor and includes extensive pre-recorded video content, a class workbook, interactive assignments and community activities.
To use the MasterClass app, you'll need:
- A compatible X1 TV Box.
- RNG150, XG1v1, Xi3 and XG2v2-S aren’t supported.
- A Flex streaming TV Box.
- Xi5 isn’t supported.
- Xfinity Internet service (any level).
Access MasterClass on your TV Box or streaming TV Box
You can say “MasterClass” into your Xfinity Voice Remote to launch the app, or find it by:
- Pressing the Xfinity button on your remote.
- Selecting Apps.
- Go to the Masterclass tile.
- Press the OK button on your remote and the app will open.
Log in or sign up for MasterClass
The first time you open the MasterClass app, you’ll see options to Log In or Sign Up.
- Choose Sign Up to create a new account.
- You’ll be prompted to go to masterclass.com/comcast on a desktop or another device that’s not your TV.
- Choose Log In to sign into your existing MasterClass account.
- Scan the QR code on your screen on a device that’s not your TV, or manually type in masterclass.com/activate in your web browser on that device.
- Once you’ve logged in on the different device, your TV screen will refresh and you’ll be taken to the MasterClass Discover page.
- Scan the QR code on your screen on a device that’s not your TV, or manually type in masterclass.com/activate in your web browser on that device.
Browse the MasterClass Discover page
After you log into the MasterClass app on your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box, you’ll see the Discover page.
At the top, you can choose the:
- Search tab for classes using the onscreen keyboard
- Library tab to browse all classes or by category
- Profile tab to view your profile information (name and email address), find help and support for the app and view terms and conditions.
If you stay on the Discover page, you can scroll down and see curated content such as Continue Watching, Showcase Row (which has new classes), Popular Classes and You Might Also Like recommendations.
Start a class
When you’re on a class tile, learn more details by pressing the OK button on your remote. You’ll see the class instructor, title, description, trailers and individual lessons.
Press the OK button on your remote to choose Start Class. The video view will open. From here, you can rewind or fast-forward video. You can also turn on or off Closed Captions (CC).

Why can’t I access the MasterClass app on my TV Box?
Verify you have:
- A compatible X1 TV Box (RNG150, XG1v1, Xi3 and XG2v2-S TV Boxes aren’t compatible) or Flex streaming TV Box (Xi5 streaming TV Boxes aren’t compatible).
- Xfinity Internet service (any level).

I don’t have Xfinity TV service, but I have Xfinity Internet. Can I still use the MasterClass app?
Yes, but only if you have Xfinity Flex service too.
How do I get back to the main menu once I’m in the MasterClass app?
Press the Exit button on your remote to exit the app. You can also press the Guide or Xfinity buttons.

Yes. Content is delivered over your Xfinity Internet service, so MasterClass will be subject to the same rules, terms and conditions that govern Xfinity Internet service, including any data usage plans that may apply.
