Manage Registered Xfinity WiFi Devices from the WiFi Portal

Learn how to manage the devices on your account that are registered to access Xfinity WiFi hotspots by using the WiFi portal.

Please note you can only access the WiFi portal when you are connected to the Xfinity WiFi network and have reached the maximum number of registered devices.

Managing Devices

If you have reached the maximum number of registered devices and attempt to open a browser, you'll be automatically directed to the Manage Registered Devices page in the WiFi Portal.

If you are the primary user or manager on the account, you may:
  • View the registered device list.
  • Remove devices from the registered device list.
  • Choose a name for the device with which you are trying to connect.

Removing Devices

If you’ve been automatically directed to the WiFi portal and want to remove a device:
  1. From your desktop, click Remove.

  2. From a mobile device, tap the Remove button next to the device you wish to remove.

  3. You'll be asked to confirm your choice to remove the selected device. To continue, click or tap Yes, remove it. If you don't want to remove your device, click No, never mind.
  4. Once the device is removed, you'll see a confirmation message on your screen that reads "Device successfully deleted." You will also see the number of registered devices and the maximum number of registered devices displayed at the top of the screen.

Associating a User with a Device

You can use the WiFi portal to associate a particular user with a device that is connecting to Xfinity WiFi.

Once you have deleted devices from the registered list and the number of registered devices is within the allowed maximum, you can choose the user with whom to associate the device.

Note: The window below asking to "Please choose a user to associate this device with" is automatically displayed in the WiFi portal if the account has more than one Xfinity ID associated with it.
