Using the Local Now app on Xfinity Flex and X1

Learn how to access, change your local feed, watch videos, and more on the Local Now app on Xfinity Flex and X1.

Access the Local Now app

1. Go to the Apps Menu and select the Local Now tile.
   
2. The main screen will show local news, weather and videos (according to the ZIP code at your service address) and more.
   

Changing a location

1. To change your location, use your remote’s arrows to select the drop-down in the upper left hand corner and press OK on your remote.
   
2. Select Add New Location.
3. To change or add another location, enter your five digit ZIP code or two letter state abbreviation.
   
4. Select the tile to the right and press OK on your remote.
   
5. Use the arrows on your remote to choose your local feed.
   
6. To add more locations, repeat steps 2-4.

Watching a Local Now video

1. Watching a new video: With your remote, use the arrows to select any of the tiles at the bottom of the screen. Press OK on your remote to watch.
   
2. Watch a previous video: Select the Previous icon.
   
3. Watching the next video: Select the Next icon.
   
4. Pausing a video: Select the Pause icon.
   
5. Exit the app: Press Exit on your remote, or press the back arrow and choose Yes to exit.
   

Turn Closed Captions on or off

1. Go to the Settings icon and press OK on your remote.
   
2. Go to the Closed Captions toggle button.
   
3. Press OK on your remote to turn it off or on.
   
   
   • Note: Closed Captions only play for the “Live Now” news feeds.

Local Now Settings

1. Go to the Settings icon and press OK on your remote.
   
2. Press the down arrow button on your remote to go to the Help Center, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, or Submit Feedback.
   
   
   
3. Press the OK button to choose your selection.
