Can I sign up for discovery+ through Xfinity?
No, you must sign up directly through discovery+ and can do so at discoveryplus.com.
Cancel discovery+
How do I cancel my discovery+ subscription that is billed by Xfinity?
If your discovery+ subscription appears on your Xfinity bill, you can cancel through your Xfinity TV box or through a representative by contacting Xfinity at 1-800-XFINITY. If canceling through your Xfinity TV box, please follow the steps below:
- Go to Settings on your Xfinity X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box.
- Go to the Apps & Subscriptions menu.
- You can also find this menu by saying “manage discovery+” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.
- Select Unsubscribe.
- You'll see a second page, where you'll select Unsubscribe to continue.
- If you continue, you'll still have access to your subscription through the date displayed.
How do I cancel my discovery+ subscription that is billed by Discovery?
To cancel your discovery+ subscription that is billed by Discovery, please follow the steps below:
- Go to discoveryplus.com and log in.
- Choose your profile (upper right) and select Account.
- In the Subscription section, select Cancel.
- Follow any remaining onscreen prompts.

How do I view the status of my discovery+ subscription?
If your discovery+ subscription appears on your Xfinity bill, you can find details on your X1, Flex, or Xumo Stream Box through the Apps & Subscriptions menu. If your discovery+ subscription isn’t billed by Xfinity, please visit discoveryplus.com/account.
How do I upgrade or downgrade my discovery+ subscription?
If your discovery+ subscription appears on your Xfinity bill, and you want to upgrade or downgrade your subscription, you can manage your subscription through the Apps & Subscriptions menu on your X1, Flex, or Xumo Stream Box. Wait for your access to end, which usually takes 2–30 days, depending on your bill cycle.
If your discovery+ subscription isn’t billed by Xfinity, please visit discoveryplus.com/account.
What will happen to my discovery+ account if I cancel my Xfinity service or change my Xfinity package?
- If you downgrade or change your Xfinity service by removing Xfinity X1 or Xfinity Flex, you’ll no longer be able to access discovery+ through your X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box.
- You’ll only be able to watch discovery+ through your computer, mobile device, or another Internet-connected device.
- Notes:
- Xfinity customers with a discovery+ subscription billed by Xfinity and who no longer have access to an X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box can cancel their discovery+ subscription billed by Xfinity by contacting us.
- However, we can’t upgrade or downgrade your discovery+ subscription.
- If you wish to do so, cancel your discovery+ subscription and once access to your discovery+ subscription is over, sign up for the other discovery+ subscription tier from discoveryplus.com.
- Xfinity customers with a discovery+ subscription billed by Xfinity and who no longer have access to an X1 TV Box or Xfinity Flex streaming TV Box can cancel their discovery+ subscription billed by Xfinity by contacting us.
- If you disconnect Xfinity Internet, you’ll need internet access through another internet service provider or wireless internet service provider to access discovery+ through an internet-connected device.
- If you remain subscribed to at least one Xfinity service and continue to receive a billing statement from us, you’ll continue to be billed for discovery+ on your Comcast bill.
- If you disconnect all your Xfinity services and don’t update your payment method with discovery+, you’ll eventually lose access to discovery+.
- You should change your method of payment with discovery+ in order to keep discovery+, which you can do at any time at discoveryplus.com.
