AMC+ App on Xfinity X1 and Flex

The AMC+ app is available on Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex!

With the AMC+ app, you can access The Walking Dead Universe, discover award-winning movies and series you can't find anywhere else, or just sit back and stream always-on live channels.

Thousands of hours of incredible content are on demand, all in one place, with new shows and movies added every week. AMC+ includes the best of AMC, BBC America, IFC, and Sundance TV. It also features full access to Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited.

To use the AMC+ app on X1 or Flex, you’ll need:

• A compatible X1 TV Box as part of your TV subscription or a Flex streaming TV Box.
  • RNG150, Pace and Arris XG1v1, Samsung XG2v2, and Pace Xi3 X1 TV Boxes and Pace Xi5 Flex streaming TV Boxes are not supported.
• Any level of Xfinity Internet.
• An AMC+ app subscription.
  • Choose from the AMC+ annual plan or monthly plan.

Access the AMC+ App

The easiest way to access the AMC+ app is by saying, “AMC+ app” into your Xfinity Voice Remote.

Note: If you say, “AMC+” into your Voice Remote, you’ll get the AMC+ linear channel that’s included in the AMC+ Subscription On Demand package through Xfinity. This service isn’t the same as an AMC+ app subscription that’s billed by AMC+.

Sign up and log in to the AMC+ app on X1 or Flex

1. Launch the AMC+ app on your X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box.
2. You can choose TRY 7 DAYS FREE or SIGN IN.
   
   
   • If you already have an account, select SIGN IN and press OK on your remote to enter the app.
   • First-time customers are eligible for a seven-day free trial. Choose TRY 7 DAYS FREE and press OK on your remote.
3. You'll see an activation code and a QR code. You can either:
   • Use a browser on your PC or mobile device and enter the activation code at amcplus.com/activate to link your device.
   • Capture the QR code using your mobile phone camera (or QR code reader) to sign in or sign up.
     
4. Enter your email address and password to either:
   • Log in to your existing account.
     • Choose SIGN IN.
       
   • Create a new account.
     • Choose NEXT and see step 5 to finish making your account.
       
5. If you’re creating a new account, activate your seven-day free trial on the next screen.
   • Choose the annual or monthly plan to continue. You won’t be charged until the free trial ends.
     
6. You’ll see a screen confirming you’re subscribed.

Explore the AMC+ App

Once you’ve logged into the AMC+ app, you can browse AMC+ originals, movies and TV shows or search from the home page.

Choose the Categories list (the symbol on the top-left of the screen) to view series and movies.

You can also:

• View Collections.
  
• Explore all content.
  

Note: Streaming content through the AMC+ app will count towards your monthly internet data usage. Learn more about X1 internet data usage.

Search and watch Live TV on the AMC+ app

To search AMC+ content from the app, choose the Search (magnifying glass) icon from the home page. You can start typing in a title and browse what appears on screen.

To see show titles that are on right now, choose the Live TV icon on the home page (the third icon on the left-hand side). Press the OK button when on a tile to go to that show.

To see when your subscription renews, find help and sign out of your account, select the Settings (gear) icon at the bottom-left of the screen.

FAQs

Why can’t I access the AMC+ app on my X1 TV Box or Flex streaming TV Box?
The app isn’t compatible with the following:

• RNG150, Pace Xi3, Samsung XG2v2, Arris or Pace XG1v1 X1 TV Boxes.
• Pace Xi5 Flex streaming TV Box.

Note: You also need a subscription to the AMC+ app to access content within the app. If you don’t have the equipment listed above and still can't access the app, contact us so we can help.

I subscribe to “AMC+ on Xfinity." Can I also sign into the AMC+ app from my phone/tablet?
No. If you subscribed to the AMC+ Subscription On Demand package through Xfinity (includes the AMC+ linear channel and ad-free On Demand channels of AMC Premiere, Shudder, Sundance Now, and IFC Films Unlimited), you can only watch AMC+ content through your TV Box or with the Xfinity Stream app on your mobile device. This service isn’t the same as a subscription to the AMC+ app that’s billed by AMC+.

How many devices on my account can stream my AMC+ app subscription at once?
Currently, you can have up to six simultaneous streams with AMC+.

If I sign in to the AMC+ app on one TV Box in my home, do I have to sign in again on a different TV Box in my home?
Yes, you’ll have to sign in to the AMC+ app separately on each of the TV Boxes in your home.

Does watching content on these apps count against my Xfinity Internet data usage?
Yes. Because the content is delivered over your Xfinity Internet service, it's subject to the same rules, terms and conditions that affect Xfinity Internet service, including any data usage plans that may apply.

Is the AMC+ app content in HD?
Yes.

Is the AMC+ app content in 4K?
4K content is available if you use the AMC+ app on X1 and have an Xi6 or XiOne TV Box, or on Flex with an Xi6 or XiOne streaming TV Box (along with a compatible 4K or 4K/HDR TV).

Note: 4K content on the AMC+ app on X1 isn’t available on XG1v4 X1 TV Boxes.

Will my AMC+ app subscription charge be on my Xfinity bill?
No. You’ll be billed by AMC+. Any billing-related questions should be directed to AMC support.

How can I manage my AMC+ app subscription, including cancellations?

I forgot my AMC + app username or password. How do I find my username or reset my password?
Visit AMC+ support to recover your AMC+ app login or reset your password.

How do I block access to this app on X1 or Flex?
You can set parental controls for this app in two ways:

1. Block content by selecting Settings > Parental Controls > TV Rating Locks > TV-MA.
   • Once locked, you'll need to enter a Parental Control PIN before you can access the app.
2. Block access to the app using an Application Lock.

Note: Once an app has been launched, X1 parental control settings won’t guard against content searches or playback within the app. To manage parental control settings in the AMC+ app, visit AMC+ support.
