Living in a WiFi Ready Apartment means that you can sign up for Xfinity Internet service and activate it right away, without waiting for a tech visit or Getting Started kit. Sign up for Xfinity services at xfinity.com/connectnow, by calling 1-800-XFINITY, or visiting your nearest Xfinity Retail Store. Shop Xfinity Internet deals and lease the xFi Gateway at checkout. To activate, follow these steps.
Sign up and activate
- To sign up, go to xfinity.com/connectnow.
- Scroll down and select Shop internet deals.
- Enter your address and select Build your plan to shop deals.
- Build a package or select an offer that works for you.
- On the Internet Equipment page, you can choose Activate the pre-installed xFi Gateway or Use your own modem.
- You can also Add xFi Complete to your account through a limited-time offer.
- Note: If you’re at a fiber-only property, you won’t see an option to use your own modem, as customer-owned devices are not supported at these properties. You’ll need to rent the pre-installed xFi Fiber Gateway to receive Xfinity service.
- Once finished, select Next.
- Once your order is complete and confirmed, you can instantly activate your pre-installed xFi Gateway to begin enjoying your Xfinity services.

- Download the Xfinity app from the Apple App Store or Google Play using your mobile phone.
- Log in with your Xfinity ID.
- Follow the steps within the Xfinity app to configure your internet and get connected.
