You can change where your bills and communications are mailed at any time. This does not change the address where you have service. If you are moving and wish to change your service address, find out if your new location has Xfinity service.
Note: If you are enrolled in paperless billing, changing your mailing address doesn’t turn on paper bills.
To change your mailing address, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Billing page.
- You may be asked to sign in using your Xfinity ID and password.
- Choose Mailing address under the Bill Settings section.
- On the next screen, enter the new address you want your mail to be sent to. Then, choose Update.
- You get confirmation that your mailing address was updated successfully.
Update your text and email preferences
You can customize what texts and emails you get from Xfinity. You can set preferences for these types of communications:
- Service Interruptions: Maintenance work and outage notifications.
- Here you can also opt into getting texts about outages during normal “quiet hours,” which are between 9:00 p.m. through 8:00 a.m.
- Account & Security: Account information and security alerts.
- Billing: Payment confirmations, bill date, missed payment, and more.
- Appointments: Appointment reminders, status, cancellations, and more.
- Customer Support: Transfer service, change of plan, equipment returns, and more.
- Marketing Communications: Xfinity and NOW updates, company news, and more.
- Important: When you opt into getting marketing communication texts, you are giving Xfinity permission to send you automated marketing or sales texts at the mobile number on your account. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
- Special Offers & Updates: Latest deals on Xfinity and NOW services.
- Important: When you opt into getting texts with special offers and updates, you are giving Xfinity permission to send you automated marketing or sales texts at the mobile number on your account. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out.
To manage what type of alerts you get:
- Go to customer.xfinity.com/settings.
- You may be asked to sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.

- You may continue to get emails and texts for up to 10 business days after unchecking the boxes within each section.
- Note: Checking boxes above won’t restart text alerts if you previously opted out of calls and texts. You need to text START to 266278 and opt back into getting calls and texts from Xfinity before you can update your preferences.
To change the email address where you get alerts, follow the Set Your Preferred Email Address section above.
