Send in your old phone
If you accept the trade-in offer as part of a new phone purchase, you’ll send in your old phone using the provided shipping label. Assurant must receive your trade-in within 21 days from the date you submitted your order.
Get a check in the mail
Once Assurant receives your phone, they’ll confirm its condition and send you a check for the estimated offer amount. If your phone’s condition doesn’t match what’s on the offer, Assurant will notify you and make you an adjusted offer.

Is my device eligible for trade-in?

We can accept most smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets as long as they meet the trade-in standards from our trade-in partner, Assurant. Devices must be free from screen cracks, physical damage, and liquid damage.

Finding your trade-in value is simple. Use our trade-in estimator to get an instant offer. You can also visit any Xfinity Mobile store to speak with an agent in person. 

Am I guaranteed to get the offer amount I received during the trade-in estimate?

Once you send your device to Assurant, they’ll confirm it’s eligible for the original offer amount based on the answers you provided during the estimate and your device’s physical condition. If your device’s condition matches what’s in the offer, Assurant will send you a check for the original offer amount.

 

If the condition of the device doesn’t match what’s in the offer, they’ll notify you and make you an adjusted offer, which you can choose to accept. If you decline the adjusted offer, your phone will be returned to you.

What if I’m still making payments on a phone?

If you are switching from another carrier — like Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile — you can use your trade-in cash to help pay down any remaining balance with your old carrier.

 

If you are an Xfinity Mobile customer and you trade in your device that is still under a Device Payment Plan Agreement, you will still be responsible for the remaining installment payments on that device.

How do I get my trade-in payment?

Assurant will mail you a check within 30 days of receiving your phone in good working condition.

Can I trade in multiple devices at once?

Yes. If you're looking to move the whole family over, you can trade in multiple smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches. By trading in several devices and switching to our newest plans, you can cut your monthly mobile bill in half and get the latest 5G tech for everyone on your account at a great price.

How long do I have to send in my trade-in device?

Once you've submitted your order, we must receive your trade-in device within 21 days. We provide a free shipping label to make it as easy as possible. Prefer to trade-in at a store? You have up to 30 days to bring your device into any Xfinity Mobile store, giving you a bit more time to make the switch. Getting your device to us quickly means your credit can be processed faster.

How do I protect my personal data before trading in my phone?

Before shipping your device to our partner, Assurant, we recommend you back up your photos and files to the cloud, sign out of your accounts (like Find My iPhone or Google), and perform a factory reset to erase all personal information. This ensures your data stays with you while your old phone finds a new home.
