Comcast Cable Leased Access Information

The information on this page is intended to help clients understand and obtain leased access time for programming on Comcast's cable systems.

The federal Communications Act ("Act") requires cable operators to provide a certain percentage of a cable system's channel capacity to requesting third parties to lease access on Comcast's cable system(s). These requirements are found in Section 612 of the Act, 47 U.S.C. § 532, and codified in the Federal Communications Commission's ("FCC") regulations at 47 C.F.R. § § 76.970-76.977. Comcast's leased access offering is governed by the above-referenced regulations. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE REQUIREMENTS ONLY PERTAIN TO REQUESTS FOR FULL-TIME CHANNELS (24/7). REQUESTS FOR PART-TIME CHANNEL CAPACITY ARE HANDLED ON A DISCRETIONARY, MARKET BY MARKET BASIS.
