What to Watch this November

There are plenty of TV premieres happening this November, and we’re here to tell you all about what’s new, what’s back, and what you should watch this month. Read on and tune in to new TV shows and returning favorites all month long!

HBO’s ‘His Dark Materials’, Netflix’s ‘The Irishman’ and ‘The Crown’, and many more:

HBO® and Netflix are debuting new content this month, including HBO’s new series His Dark Materials (starring Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruth Wilson and James McAvoy), and Netflix’s feature-length film The Irishman (starring Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci).

What’s more, returning favorites (and a certain anniversary special) headed to TV and streaming services this month include the season three premiere of Netflix’s The Crown, a new season of Rick and Morty, a new season of Shameless (U.S.), a new season of the Amazon Original Series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and a 50th anniversary special of Sesame Street.

Starting the month off with a bang, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan drops its highly anticipated second season on November 1st. Starring John Krasinski, season two of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan sees the hero heading to South America to investigate a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle.

His Dark Materials, premiering on November 4th on HBO, stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ruth Wilson, and James McAvoy and is based on a trilogy by author Phillip Pullman. The series follows Lyra, a brave young woman from another world. Lyra’s quest to find her kidnapped friend leads her to uncover a sinister plot of a secret organization, encounter extraordinary beings and protect dangerous secrets.

On November 9th, the iconic kids’ TV show Sesame Street will air a 50th anniversary special on HBO. For 50 years, Sesame Street has helped children grow smarter, stronger and kinder by providing preschoolers with the gold-standard in quality educational programming.

SHOWTIME®’s Shameless (U.S.) returns for its tenth season on November 10th at 9 PM ET/PT. Oscar®-nominated William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum star in this fiercely engaging and fearlessly twisted series. Chicagoan Frank Gallagher is the proud single dad of six smart, industrious, independent kids, who without him would be...perhaps better off. When Frank's not at the bar spending what little money they have, he's passed out on the floor. But the kids have found ways to grow up in spite of him.

The new (and long-awaited) fourth season of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty also premieres on November 10th, airing at 11:30 PM ET. Rick and Morty is an animated fan-favorite that follows the exploits of a super scientist and his not-so-bright grandson.

Netflix’s The Crown debuts a new season on November 17th. This drama follows the political rivalries and romance of Queen Elizabeth II's reign and the events that shaped the second half of the 20th century.

The Irishman (coming to Netflix on November 27th, following a run at film festivals and a limited theatrical release) is described by Netflix as “Martin Scorsese's epic saga of organized crime in postwar America, as told by a hit man, stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.” With a star-studded cast and acclaimed director, this crime drama is sure to thrill.

With all this and more coming to TV this November, you have a lot of watching to do. X1 customers can tune in and watch these new titles and returning fan-favorites all month long by simply and saying “November Premieres” into the Xfinity Voice Remote.
