Here are the top TV shows and TV movies coming out in November 2018.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Premiered: Sunday, November 4
Where to watch: Bravo

There’s never a shortage of drama when the ladies of Atlanta get together on the small screen. Season 11 of RHOA will not disappoint — with new babies, new career aspirations, and even a cancer battle, this one isn’t to be missed. Follow NeNe, Cynthia, Eva, Kandi, Porsha, and Shamari as they hustle through their rivalries, triumphs, and tragedies like only the real housewives can. What about their friends farther up the east coast? Well, The Real Housewives of New Jersey also started this month. Catch up on past seasons of the housewives On Demand or stream them here.

House of Cards

Premiered: Friday, November 2
Where to watch: Netflix

The first original program from Netflix, this highly-regarded political thriller (which boasts a whopping 33 Emmy nominations to date) makes a return for its sixth, and final, season. With Kevin Spacey officially off the roster, Robin Wright will be the focal point of the fictional Underwood presidency.

Wright has already dropped some intriguing hints about the season, calling it "operatic" and "Machiavellian" — confirmation that this will be a powerful ending to what was already a game-changer in the world of streaming series.

Premiered: Sunday, November 4
Where to watch: Starz

Romance, time travel, and the great West: Outlander is back to warm up your Sunday nights with its sweeping depiction of the power of love. This season, the setting shifts from Scotland to America, placing our hero and heroine in the midst of the frontier movement. New challenges await Claire and Jamie, and we can't wait to see how these soul mates adapt to their new world.

E! People's Choice Awards

Premiered: Sunday, November 11
Where to watch: E!

The official nod to all things pop culture, the People's Choice Awards, returns for its 44th year — and its first year on E! network.

The categories range from topics such as "Best Family Movie" to “The Game Changer of 2018.” The host this year is yet to be announced, but with all the headliners from the past 12 months, this is a surefire must-watch.

Mars: Season 2

Premieres: Monday, November 12
Where to watch: National Geographicv

“Is there life on Mars?” In this groundbreaking docudrama from Nat Geo, there is — and it's us.

The first season melded narratives with documentary-style interviews from the likes of scientists Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye to give us a glimpse into the interplanetary possibility of humans living on Mars. The second season delves deeper into this sci-fi fascination, and we're already intrigued by its tantalizing titles, such as the excitingly ominous "We Are Not Alone."

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

Premieres: Friday, November 16
Where to watch: Netflix

The Coen brothers wrangle a new narrative focused on the wild west with this old-school anthology that brings to life six separate, imaginative tales. The all-star cast includes James Franco, Zoe Kazan, and Tom Waits.

Previous films in the frontier genre from these directors include No Country for Old Men, and True Grit. If these films are any indication of what’s to come in the new series, this will be another must-watch for audiences in November.

My Brilliant Friend

Premieres: Sunday, November 18
Where to watch: HBO

The New York Times best seller My Brilliant Friend gets a small-screen makeover, courtesy of HBO. The four-part series by Italian author Elena Ferrante chronicles the lifelong friendship between two Neapolitan women.

The cumulative set of novels is widely considered a modern masterpiece, and early critical reception gives major props to HBO for capturing the delicate subtleties of the written series.

Whether you're looking for reality TV, alter-reality sci-fi, or masterpiece small-screen adaptations, these November TV shows and movies will give you more to look forward to this month than a second helping of turkey!
