This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which are widely viewed as one of the most important events leading up to the modern LGBTQ civil rights movement. In honor of this historic milestone, the LGBTQ Film & TV collection on Xfinity will highlight special programming and features on Xfinity TV, Xfinity Flex and Xfinity Stream.
To kick off Pride Month, between June 3 and June 9, customers will be able to enjoy the “Pride Free View” with over 1,200 hours of free entertainment from Subscription Video On Demand partners, including Revry’s unique and boundary-pushing series, Dekkoo’s film festival favorites and Here TV’s award-winning films. Revry, Dekkoo, and Here TV will be available on X1 and Flex, while Here TV will be available across Xfinity TV, Xfinity Stream, and to HSD-only customers.
Featured programming will also include the “Stonewall 50” collection withThe Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson, Major!, and Vito; must-see recommendations from the Stonewall National Museum and Archives and Kids & Family Pride content from Hopster. Additionally, Comcast NBCUniversal will be featuring special content, including:
- A four-part digital NBC Nightly News series highlighting Stonewall activists
- One-hour documentary about the Stonewall Riots on MSNBC airing June 23 and June 30
- A collection of interviews on Comcast Newsmakers
- The #Out50 list of influential LGBTQ people from NBC Out
