Celebrate Black History Month with Xfinity

BHM_X1

Black History Month is here, and that means celebrating black excellence in media, music, and more all month long. Xfinity invites you to embrace what we’re calling the “New Renaissance” with special curated content such as the films The Hate U Give, Get Out, Rest in Power: the Trayvon Martin Story, Black Panther, and more. Learn more about how you can celebrate Black History Month this February with Xfinity, where Black history is always on.

Films, TV, and more available on X1

For film and TV fans, Xfinity's Black Film & TV has lined up some of the best and brightest, as well as the most powerful and socially engaging, films, TV series, and more for the month of February.

Beginning on February 1st, Xfinity customers can enjoy free sampling of the HBO® titles Say Her Name, Baltimore Rising, Insecure, and The Shop, with or without an HBO subscription. Customers can also check out acclaimed films like Black KkKlansman, and Get Out this month as well.

For viewers who are more drawn to binge-able TV series, X1 will also feature titles like Dear White People and America to Me during Black History Month, as well as a week of free BET network content and Xfinity On Demand content from TV One, Aspire TV, and The Africa Channel from 2/18 until 2/24.

Looking for even more great movies during Black History Month? No problem! The entire Brown Sugar Video on Demand and Urban Movie Channel lineup will be available to Xfinity customers from 2/4 to 2/10, and 2/11 to 2/17, respectively, for free on X1 and the Xfinity Stream app.

The celebration continues

All of this and more will be available to Xfinity customers during the month of February as we celebrate the current wave of heavy hitters in Black media, music, and culture. Other entertainment features that Xfinity customers can explore on X1 include music videos, such as Childish Gambino’s powerful piece "This is America", and Beyoncé’s groundbreaking anthem "Formation".

Xfinity looks forward to celebrating the New Renaissance with our customers during Black History Month. All of the great content mentioned above and more can be accessed on X1 within the Black Film & TV destination, as well as the Xfinity Stream app, in a matter of moments.
