If you have questions while watching TV, simply pick up your X1 Voice Remote and say “Help”. This is a great starting point and will take you to the X1 Help menu. Here you can find tips for navigating X1. You will find ways to set your preferences, customize your guide views, adjust menu backgrounds and more. For example, if you want to dim the brightness of the blue light on your X1 box, you can do that from this menu. You will also find helpful videos like how to set up parental controls and how to set a DVR recording.
In addition to saying “Help” into your Voice Remote, you can directly ask for what you need. For example, say “What’s my WiFi password?” and your WiFi network name and password will show up on the tv screen. Keep exploring your WiFi information and you will find different ways to manage your network, including viewing WiFi usage across devices in your home. You can also do this on-the-go with the Xfinty xFi app.
Another way to get the information you need is through My Account. You can find My Account online through the xfinity.com website or you can download the Xfinity My Account app for your device. My Account makes it simple to view your bill, check your channel lineup, and even restart your wireless gateway or X1 box remotely if a reboot is needed. The My Account app makes it even easier because you can do those things and more while on-the-go.
There are many ways you can find answers that you need, whether it’s while you are watching TV on X1 or viewing account information using the My Account app on your phone. Whichever way you choose, it’s just one way we are making sure you have the best experience possible.
