Are there any data caps on Gigabit internet?
No, we don't have data caps on our latest internet plans. Unlimited data is included on our 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, and Gigabit plans. You can stream in 4K, download large game files, and run your smart home 24/7 without worrying about overage charges or throttled speeds.

Can I get speeds even faster than 1 Gig?
If 1 Gig isn't enough for your hyper-connected home, we also offer 1.2 Gig and 2 Gig speeds in many areas. And for the ultimate in connectivity, we offer speeds up to 10 Gbps in select locations (call 1-800-934-6489 for details).
How long does it take to set up my Gig internet at home?
It doesn’t take long. You pick up your self-install equipment at an Xfinity store and can have your gig-speed network up and running in about 15 minutes. Just plug it in and use the Xfinity app for an easy step-by-step self-installation. If your home requires a technician to get connected, we offer professional installation appointments to get you set up.
What is gigabit internet?
One gigabit equals 1,000 Mbps. It provides increased bandwidth capacity, meaning your network won't get congested even when dozens of smart home devices, phones, and computers are connected at once. Plus, in many Xfinity areas, our gigabit tiers now offer symmetrical speeds, meaning your uploads are just as fast as your downloads.
