Be sure you have the right equipment for your TVs
Throughout 2013, we'll be encrypting our Limited Basic TV service on a market-by-market basis. This will provide customers with more convenient self-service options.
With encryption, customers will need to connect to a digital-set-top box, a digital adapter or a CableCARD™-enabled device to all TVs to continue receiving the current services.
What will this mean for you?
If you have a digital-set-top box, digital adapter or retail CableCARD™-enabled device connected to each of your TVs, there's nothing you need to do.
However, if you receive Limited Basic channels on any TV without a digital-set-top box, digital adapter or a CableCARD™-enabled device, you will lose the ability to view your channels on that tv.
It's easy to keep your channels by connecting a digital adapter to your TV.
